Right in the heart of downtown St. Louis,
the Cardinals have played world class baseball for many years and
this new stadium is right in line with that winning tradition.
Often referred to as "new Busch" by
Cardinal faithful, the $365M facility replaced the original Busch
Stadium in April 2006 and welcomed a World Series title later that
October.
The park is a great improvement over
the 1960s, municipal-style stadium it replaced. As you can see
great views of downtown, this history courthouse and the Gateway
Arch are all in view to most in the stadium. Dubbed by the
organization as "Baseball Heaven" it truly was that first magical
season and will continue to delight visitors for years! |
