Hammons Field, Springfield, Missouri (April 2004)

 
Opened on April 2, 2004 Hammons Field is the jem of Jordan Valley Park in the downtown area of Springfield.

Opening night drew over 9,000 fans with on a few spots of standing room left.  It was truly and exciting night as many Springfieldians came out to celebrate the long awaited return of first-class baseball.  (Photo credit for this image comes from the Springfield News-Leader.)
