Originally known as Royals Stadium, the park was built in 1973 and had to have been one of the first "baseball only" parks built as the multi-purpose area of stadium building was ending.  It has a nice cozy, close-to-the-action atmosphere and plenty of fan-friendly features that make for an enjoyable day at the ballpark.

We decided to go on what turned out to be a PERFECT Saturday afternoon in late April--sunny, mid-70's and only a slight breeze.
