Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, MO (April, 2007)

This is the only part of the stadium that made me groan.  Being a life long Cardinals fan, any memory of October 1985 isn't a good one.

Back in the Royals' glory days, of George Brett, Frank White, Bret Saberhagen and others, they made it to the '85 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.  The series was nicknamed the
"I-70 Series" and ended up going to the Royals after a huge momentum shift due to the worst call ever made by an umpire in baseball history.  Don Denkinger, late in Game 6, called a Royals batter safe at first in what is known to Cards fans as "The Call."  Click here for evidence.
