For me this is where it all began.
My first professional baseball game was here in 1984. The
Cardinals beat the Expos 4-0. We had to leave around the 7th
because my younger brothers couldn't last the whole game. =) I've been back plenty of times and I've never not enjoyed it. (In fact, as I think back, I've never been there and seen them lose.) In the past few years the Cardinals have been trying to secure funding from the state to build a new stadium and redevelopment / mixed-use area. Click here for details. As much as I'd love to see a new, modern stadium, I still have a bit of a "Field Of Dreams" romantic connection to Busch Stadium. |
