You can see the stadium is starting to
show it's age. And I'm sure, with the new stadium under
development, they aren't pouring a lot of money into Shea to keep it
looking stellar. One thing I will say about Shea despite the
fact it is tired and worn out, the Mets fans are great baseball
fans!
You'd never believe they were all New Yorkers, especially after spending any amount of time at Yankee Stadium. I went to a game there and even though the Yanks won, everyone still left pissed off at the world. Mets fans, however, seemed to be more the happy-go-lucky, it's-just-a-game type. Nobody was rude, everyone was having a good time and they cheered like mad for the Mets to win! |
