Shea Stadium, Queens, NY (September, 2006)

We had a chance to be a part of something pretty exciting at Shea that night.  The Mets magic number was down to 1 going into the home game.  What great timing!  The game was exciting throughout and got even more so as out after out got the Mets one step closer to clinching the NL East.  Then the last Florida batter in the top of the ninth flied out to right and the celebration was on!  The partying carried on for a while and even spilled over into the subway right back to Manhattan.

Wearing my Cardinals cap ended up getting into some great "what-if" scenarios with some friendly Mets fans.  As we exited the train, they left me with "See you in the post-season" in a bit of a cocky tone.  Well, we did, and the underdog Cardinals won that series in 7 games and ended up winning it all in the World Series!
