There's plenty of surface parking beyond
the centerfield gates. We entered from there and were
impressed with the crowd that had already on the lawn seats.
The facility maxes out at nearly 13,000 and that day's attendance
was in the high 10,000s. The
one bitch I do have is that it took forever to deal with the traffic
in and around the complex. It cost us nearly a half an hour we
weren't planning on. And I don't think it was game
related...just normal traffic. Well, that and Peoria is just
WAY out there past the huge Glendale arena complex.
The Mariners actually had a pretty
solid following, at least enough to know to cheer the hell out of
Ichiro Suzuki. The Giants won handily with an 8-4 final with 3
of Seattle's runs coming in the 9th. |
