My favorite feature of the park is this
building--the Western Metal Supply Company. Instead of
demolishing it, the designers found a way to incorporated the
structure into the park. Really, really cool! The building has been restored throughout and the top holds a bleachers section 80 feet directly above the left field corner. All but the bottom floor are suites with large balconies. Click here to see them. The bottom floor is the Padres gift shop and if you look real close you can see some standing room that gets pretty up close and personal with balls hit into the corner. |
