In the 7th I wandered around the rest of
the park to see what else I could see. From our seats we
couldn't see the craziness that was happening behind center field.
The batter's eye backdrop does a nice job of hiding Vandergriff Plaza and
the Sports Park. The area is
nearly complete chaos with bounces, wiffleball games, speed changes,
hitting cages, etc, etc, etc. There were tons of kids running
around enjoying it all and plenty of adults sitting at the picnic
tables and enjoying beverages from the little "cafe".
The thing you see in background is
another unique feature. It is a 4-story office building.
35,000 sqft on each level, the first is retail, the second and third
are leasable and the Rangers occupy the top floor. |
