One of the truly unique features of
Tropicana Field is the Rays touch tank. It is located in right
center field right up against the outfield wall. The rays are
cared for by the Florida Aquarium.
Everything we read ON THEIR WEBSITE says
the tank is open 2 hours from the first pitch and you pick up a card
indicating a designated time for you to visit and touch the rays.
We got there, found our seats, watched the first pitch and then
headed over to get an assigned time to return. Well apparently
the don't do that anymore. Then when we waited for the crowd
to die down and went back 1 hour and 30 minutes after the first
pitch, they indicated they had just closed. This PISSED me
off. Severely. This is amateur and complete bullsh*t.
We had a great experience and this ruined it! |
