In all the more a dozen years we've been
coming to the Buffalo River area, the Alum Cove Trail is not one
we'd checked out. This is partly due to the fact that it is
not anything really really impressive (like the falls at Hemmed-In
or the views at Hawksbill) and partly because the total loop trail
is only 1 mile. But, this combination and the location made it
perfect for today.
We'd just done Round Top Mountain for
the views and Alum Cove is nearby. It is a location on
Google Maps so you can use it to get you there or just take
Highway 7 south out of Jasper. |
