Buffalo River Trail, portion south of Steel Creek (January, 2009)

...and boy does it impress!

The cliff you find yourself standing on is about 300 feet or more off the river and it provides what I think might be the best view of the Buffalo River.

Starting on your left you see streaked and colored Roark Bluff and can watch boaters floating down the river from there, navigating past the tricky section at the Steel Creek access.  Then the river runs around the sweeping bend before you and past Bee Bluff and several other impressive Ozark bluffs.

From this point you can return to your vehicle or continue on toward Slaty Place and Kyles Landing.
