made this trip in mid-January for one reason--water.
Most of the water was from snow
melt. I don't think N. Arkansas had as much, but Springfield
had just melted out from under 15 inches of snow, so there was
plenty of water flowing around.
Jason and I had been here
mid-September and everything was dry. But we liked the spot
because it had a lot of streams, a fall, huge karst windows and it
was a total elevation gain of 200 feet.
