To get to the Hawksbill Crag (from the
north) you have to drive through Boxley Valley. The valley is
formed by the beginnings of the Buffalo River and is always a pretty

The road to the trailhead is,
however, a rough endeavor. Cave Mountain Road starts straight
up, (And I mean up!) and then takes 5 miles of bumps to get
you to the trail. I'm glad to have the Explorer. It
sucked in a passenger car! |
