Notice the split rail fence.  It was set back a few feet from the edge and was well-maintained.  I would assume it was to keep kids from wandering too close to the edge but still let us idiots hop over and look right down the edge.

The South Gap was a pretty area and we hung out there for a little while.  It would make a great lunch spot!
