Here's Matt on his way down. The
first 5-8' were a typical rappel with your feet against the rock,
but then the inversion of the cliff face kicked in and it was a
straight "free-hanging" drop from the rest of the 50'.
When a 30 mph gust came along you
gripped just a little bit harder with that brake hand!
All three of us came down and Mel
chickened out. She enjoys climbing much more. I think it
is the "ground up" instead of the "top down" idea! |
