Located just a few miles west of
Kirksville (which itself is in the middle of nowhere north Missouri),
Thousand Hills State Park actually very nice area and a very welcome
break from the farmland and hoosiers that are so common in this part
of the state. =) Jonathan has been in college at Truman State Univ. (in Kirksville) for 4 years now and has talked about Thousand Hills for quite some time. I finally made the trek up there and we hit the trails hoping to put in a 10-mile day, mountain biking through the area. As you can see the trails are single-track and very nice--fairly smooth surface and well-maintained. |
