Current River, Akers to Round Spring (July, 2007)

The next geologic feature worth noting is quite a site.  At river mile 81 (NPS) or 26.0 (MDC) is the trail up to Pulltite Spring.  The trail is about a ¼ of a mile up and is well worth the time.  The spring is situated in a beautiful setting and as you hike up you walk along the stream it provides.  Of course the water is crystal clear and full of watercress.  (As inviting as it looks it is still harmful to the ecosystem to walk in the creek.  It makes you want to choke those who think those warning signs just don't apply to them.)

The access to the spring is on the river right just down stream from the Pulltite Access.
