There's also a great winery in this town of just over 100 people.  Formerly known as Thornhill Winery, Summit Lake Winery is a great stop if you can make it work.  (We hit town at 10am...a bit too early to start drinking!)

Each October (2nd weekend) the community plays host to the  "Pumpkin Festival."

The town also has a restored hotel and several other amenities for trail users.  Hartsburg is one of the shining examples of what the Katy Trail has done to help revitalize these small towns.
