By way of introduction, the Katy Trail is
a 225-mile route across the mid-section of Missouri made possible by
converting a former railroad bed into a remarkable asset to the
state and the entire Midwest, especially for bikers.
We've ridden/walked several sections of
the trail at various times but never with a lot of photos. It
was time to change that so we decided to start close to home and do
a section starting just upriver from Hartsburg, named Wilton, down
to the trailhead at Jefferson City. All told the distance is
just over 14 miles.
The Wilton trailhead is at mile
marker 157.4 and the North Jefferson trailhead is at 143.2.
