Having been to Phoenix 4 times now, I've
been staring at this mountain for what seems like forever and yet
getting to the summit has eluded me so far. I wasn't going to
let that happen again! The
mountain is comprised of several parts but it is all encompassed
in a
Phoenix city park. Shown here is the summit and the main
part of Camelback Mountain. In the foreground is Echo Canyon
heading up the the saddle (photo right) between Camelback and
Praying Monk Rock.
We took the Echo Canyon Summit Trail
which heads up from the west. (There is one from the east as
