The cacti pictured are the signature cactus of southern Arizona--the Saguaro Cactus.

Information on the trails that lead up Camelback is hard to come by, which is surprising based on how popular the area is.  It is a city park but their website has nothing more than a locator map.  The only other site I could find was this personal account--click here.
