Like I said, the actually building, though
smaller, is still quite stately. The large stone blocks and
Ionic columns are all built with materials native to Arizona.
(Note that large dark object in the bottom
right corner? That's a petrified tree trunk from the Petrified
Forest National Park. Pretty cool to touch rock that's so old it
used to be a tree!)
Inside the building is an Arizona
museum, but it was closed when we were there. Check it out on
