Arizona State Capitol, Phoenix (September, 2002)

 
Like I said, the actually building, though smaller, is still quite stately.  The large stone blocks and Ionic columns are all built with materials native to Arizona.

(Note that large dark object in the bottom right corner?  That's a petrified tree trunk from the Petrified Forest National Park.  Pretty cool to touch rock that's so old it used to be a tree!)
