The Fay Canyon Trail heads back 1.1 miles
into Fay Canyon, which is a typical canyon for the heart of Red Rock
Country. Since we had hiked Long Canyon earlier in the week we
were not interested in hiking the whole thing, but instead we wanted to
see the arch along this canyon's wall.
This is the view of Fay Canyon from just
below the arch. If you don't pay close attention you can hike
right passed the arch and never know it was there halfway up the
canyon wall.
About ½ a mile up the trail a spur
trail that leads about another ¼ of a mile up a tough trail to the arch.
