Sedona is a town of around 10,000 people
located in North Central Arizona about 125 miles north of Phoenix and
about 20 miles south of Flagstaff. It rests at around 4,500 feet
above sea level and is an interesting combination of desert and dry
alpine forest. This is basically
your first view of the Sedona area (also know as Red Rock Country)
from Interstate 17 as you turn off onto AZ Highway 179.
What makes Sedona so unique, and
consequently, a popular tourist destination is an interesting natural
setting, lots of shopping and activities, and year-round nice weather. |
