Slide Rock State Park - Sedona, AZ (September, 2002)

 
Slide Rock is basically two sets of "rapids" that make great water slides!

This is the upper slide.  It was the faster of the two because most of Oak Creek's flow was being channeled through the slide you see Mel in.  The water was probably 3' deep so you didn't really scrape bottom as you coasted through.  Either way the rocks were pretty smooth from being worn down by the persistent waters of the creek.
