Devil's Bridge Trail, Sedona, AZ (September, 2007)

For a small investment in the ¾ of a mile Devil's Bridge Trail, there's a big payoff awaiting hikers--this large natural arch that is the namesake of the trail.

The arch is labeled as a natural bridge which is a subset of the "arch" classification indicating that water played the largest part in the formation of the arched opening.  The name can also come from a flat top that makes the structure appear more like a bridge.  This and tons of other info is available from the Natural Arch and Bridge Society.
