Vultee Arch Trail is located in the Secret
Canyon area and is one of the less frequented trails due largely to
its remoteness. To get to the
trailhead you have to travel nearly 5 miles down an unimproved road
that can be pretty rough at times and very loose and sandy at
others.
If you are looking to buck a bit of
the crowds prevalent on some of the more popular trails, yet still
enjoy a trail (and an area) that is scenic and holds unique natural
features, this is a great one!
To access the trailhead you'll have
to drive down Dry Creek Road in West Sedona and then down FR 152
until it dead ends. The trail starts out like you see here as
a nice stroll though a desert/conifer forest. |
