In January a post card from Westin arrived
in the mail. As I was chucking it into the recycling bin,
something caught my eye--a photo of somewhere we'd stayed before and
loved. It was the Westin Kierland Commons in Scottsdale,
Arizona. As I pulled it out I noticed it was an offer.
It appeared one we couldn't refuse because a few weeks later we'd
booked a whole week in Arizona!
The deal was 4 nights in a villa (suite)
and 7,000 Starwood Points for $350! The only week we could
make work (that was available) was the first week of November which
turned out to be a good time to be in Arizona. Warm days but
not TOO awful hot and cool nights. We got sunburned in Saguaro
National Park and later in the week got snowed on in Grand Canyon
