Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina (October 2009)

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 470 mile ribbon of two-lane roadway specifically designed as a automobile touring road that connects Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to Great Smoky National Park in North Carolina.  With countless hills, hairpin turns, and bends, and a speed limit of 45 mph it is not about connecting one place to another for the fastest travel.  It is more about about seeing the features, sights and all the beauty the Appalachian mountains have to offer.
