The first stop was right off the highway
about 28 miles south of Waynesville (11 miles north of Brevard) at
Sliding Rock. This is more a natural waterslide than a
waterfall and during the warmer months this is apparently quite a
happening place! Notice the railings on the left of the photo. There is normally a line there waiting slide down into the 6-8 foot deep pool at the bottom. The area has a $1 admission and has lifeguards during the busy months. Check out some YouTube video of sliders! |
