Sterling produces a lot of wine each year.
There were rows and rows of the huge stainless steel tanks (all
manufactured by Paul Mueller Co. in Springfield!)
The tour of the winery is a self-guided
tour with videos, display paragraphs and schematic drawings each step
of the way, telling the story of Sterling and about the wine-making
process. I'm not a big fan of self-guided winery tours and this
one was good but still not anywhere near the level of the guided tours
at places like Beringer (Napa) or Stone Hill (MO). |
