This was my view for about an hour of
relaxing in the beautiful northern California weather. We had a
snack and some wine at a picnic table, watched the squirrels and
birds, and talked about the day's adventures in wine country. Some of the fantastic photos I've seen of V. Sattui are shot in the last few minutes of daylight. We didn't stick around but if you did I'm sure the fantastic oak trees and the stone building provide a great scene. Some of the better Rieslings I've ever had are from this winery. The Johannesburg Off-Dry is spectacular. We purchased a bottle on the 2000 trip and again this time in 2004. Though our tastes in wine have changed a bit this was still a winner! |
