Golden Gate Park is north of the zoo
(closer to the Golden Gate Bridge) and is the Central Park of San
Francisco. Actually, it is larger than Central Park! The park is laced with trails, buildings, landscaping, natural settings, and all kinds of interesting features (like this bridge). An interesting bit of history on the park, created entirely from sand dunes, can be found here.
