In previous trips we'd been to the Field
Museum and the Shedd Aquarium and were so impressed with those we
didn't think Chicago could have any more great museums. The
Adler Planetarium looks ok, but we've not been. But as we were
digging around tourism sites we kept noticing things about the
Museum of
Science and Industry. Now
I'll be honest, between the "Industry" part of the name and the fact
that is was a lot further south than the Museum Campus (Field/Shedd/Adler),
I had dismissed this place before. Big mistake. It is
REALLY cool!
What you see here is the
Transportation Gallery with lots of trains, planes (a Boeing 727),
and automobiles (a rocket car) and a lot more. |
