Beijing, China's Capital (May, 2007)

 
I mentioned driving...traffic is a major concern in Beijing.  This is an unusually clear day, but normally the traffic creates a pretty think smog...I'm thinking worse than LA!

This is the third of six ring roads that encircle the city as viewed on a Saturday morning.  I can't imagine what the congestion looks like during the work week.

With the number of vehicles on the road in a huge upswing, bikes are still popular, but not as thick as you'd imagine them to be in China.
