We started from the Glacier Gorge
Trailhead. (See the map of the hiking route we took
here.)
Glacier Gorge (near Bear Lake) is the
closest and easiest trailhead. The total trip was 5.2 miles to
the lake and back. 800 ft. elevation gain and about 2,500
ft. elevation change roundtrip. It took Mel, Don and I about
3+ hours to get there and back, taking our time at several stops. |
