the bottom of Echo Canyon was a "clearing" the stream
fed through. This opened up into fields of wildflowers and
grasses with spots of exposed (flat) granite.
Lynn wondered if there were any
hikers beneath that 20 ft. high boulder. Don said if there
were, they were of the pre-historic kind.
