Another classic spot on Beale Street is
B.B King's. We ate there one night (good food!) and enjoyed the
music of the B.B. King's Blues Club Orchestra and the vocals of Ms.
Ruby Wilson--the self-proclaimed "Queen Of Beale Street." Ruby did not disappoint. She was a rather large black woman with a voice you couldn't begin to walk away from. Great place! Another place in the area I was looking forward to going to was Dick's Last Resort. However, they had closed their bar there. Nevertheless a Pat O'Brien's was under construction and located near where Dick's was. Click here for more info. |
