Central Park, New York City (July, 2003)

The park is traversed by a series of roads and walkways.  The roads are sometimes open to pedestrian traffic, but when they aren't they are crowded with joggers, bikers, bladers and the like.  We had hoped to rent bikes to see more of the park, but we figured out that bikes must stay on the limited roads and weren't allowed on the countless number of paths.  So trying to "tour" the park can't really by done by bike.
