New York Botanical Gardens, Bronx (September, 2006)

 
Normally botanical gardens aren't on the top of our list but the reason we opted to spend an afternoon here is the Chihuly glass exhibit.  During this summer renowned artist Dale Chihuly has his glass pieces become part of the gardens create a very unique setting.  There was an exhibit at the NY Botanical Gardens and at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (in St. Louis). 

While we were there in the afternoon, the real draw were special night viewings.  As you can imagine the glass created quite a sight, lit up among all the plants.  For a gallery of my shots of the Chihuly glass (during poor light in the middle of the afternoon) click here.
