I went to Chicago for the first time in
2004 on a business trip. I've been back four times, and until
the last trip it was all for business. I was able to see bits
of the city a little at a time whether arriving a day early or
burning a few hours before a flight home.
Chicago is has a very distinct feel.
It is not New York. It is not San Francisco. It doesn't
try to be those places. Chicago has defined itself. To
me, raised in the Midwest, Chicago feels more like a bigger version
of home than anywhere I've been (at least of any major US cities).
It is a beautiful city with plenty of
unique buildings, large expanses of open space and attractions
rivaling any global metropolis. |
