Smack dab in the middle of center city
Philadelphia is enough historical "mass" to solidly consider it the
birthplace of America. From Independence Hall and the
Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to the First Bank of
the U.S. to Betsy Ross and the American Flag, Philadelphia has done a
fantastic job preserving these buildings and settings all in the
middle of a major U.S. city.
Independence Mall is the term of the area around Independence Hall the
Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Center but just a little
wandering around will take you past some pretty significant pieces of
American history. |
