Coronado Island is most famous for its
historic hotel--Hotel Del Coronado. It is an absolutely
beautiful hotel and as you can see holds lots of character and fits in

Coronado Island (though not really an island since the south end is connected to the south of San Diego Bay by an isthmus--probably man-made) has a large Navy presence and has long been a playground for the rich.
