Sea World, San Diego (April, 2002)

One of the really cool things about Sea World is the interaction.  I'll get into more of it later, but one really cool things was the soak zone.  In each show (especially the dolphin and Shamu) the first section of rows (usually 15-20) is called the "Soak Zone."  I think you can understand why.

As a part of each show the animals perform some high-flying acrobatics and then slap back down into the water and send hundreds of gallons water into the crowd.  Great fun if it is warm...the water is a chilly 55º.

This splash was made by a dolphin...imagine what damage Shamu can do!
