As we left the south side of Joshua Tree
NP we decide to skip off of the Interstate (10) and head through the
Palm Springs area. Wow. What a beautiful and shall I say
"plush" area. The temperature was perfect, the sun was getting
low in the sky and other than up in one of those balloons we were
exactly where we wanted to be--cruising the highway between the west
end of Indio all the way through Palm Springs with the top down in a
Mustang. Nice restaurants, nice landscaping, nice cars all in an
"oasis" in the middle of the desert. We'd both love to spend
some more time in the Palm Springs area. |
