The highpoint of Bryce Canyon National
Park is definitely Bryce Amphitheater which can be seen from several
view points (Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point, and
even Bryce Point), but, to get a good look at the beauty it holds
you have to get off the rim and hike down among the hoodoos to
experience Bryce. With a 2006
rock fall on the upper half of what's know as "Wall Street", the
most popular route has been closed temporarily. (It reopened
in September). So we chose a different route that was sure to
impress.
The Queen's Garden Trail leaves out
from Sunset Point and heads down into the heart of the Bryce
Amphitheater. The view you see here is from the rim before we
started hiking. |
