Overview, Zion National Park (June, 2007)

We decided to spend two nights (and two full days) in Zion before heading over to Bryce.  After deciding against a backpacking trip (and in favor of day-hiking Angels Landing and the Narrows), we reserved a campsite at the Watchman Campground.  We made the reservation online but had no idea what to expect or which of the several campgrounds at Watchman to select.  I settled on the "C" Loop and this is spot #18.  It was a great campsite!

We were within a short distance of the bathhouse and were well-shaded, which is something few campsites can claim.  Watchman is also just a short walk from the shuttle stop at the Visitors Center where you can ride all the way up Zion Canyon.  From here you can also catch another shuttle that heads back into Springdale.
