A trip up to the top of the arch starts
with a trip underground. Below the beautiful, wide-open lawn
underneath the arch is a huge museum dedicated to America's westward
expansion. It has plenty of neat exhibits, artifacts, and dioramas
that depict the country in the early 1800s and the people of that
time. It is well worth the time
and can be done in sections, some while waiting to catch your
tram ride to
the top. Tickets are $10 per person and each tram "capsule"
takes up to 5 people. They aren't spacious, but the ride isn't
bad and is only a few minutes. |
